I bought this Petal Dust set to paint on my cake pops. I think I purchased the wrong item though. I think what I should have purchased is Luster Dust (I will find out soon enough, as I purchased the Luster Dust now). When I received it, the packaging was good and all the bottles came perfect. The product says it is used to give color to fondant and gum-paste flowers and that it can be applied wet or dry. I tried applying it in wet form, with some Vodka (which I read helps the color adhere and the alcohol evaporates so it's tasteless) and a soft bristle brush. I tried using black and the color was so transparent that it almost looked brown. i can only imagine how light all the other colors look.It might be good to apply dry as a dust; to give some kind of tint. But for strong colors, this is NOT the the item to get.
