These letters are beautiful. It is a bit hard to work with them at first, and i couldn't do it according to the instructions, but i figured out a different way that worked for me and after a bit of practice it works quite nicely. I am very pleased. I also have the little Wilton cutters which are horrible to work with and not nearly as attractive as these. if you work with fondant or gum paste i highly recommend these letters.The reason I gave only 4 stars and not 5 is that it is somewhat difficult to use - but as I said before, I am very happy to have them.

Honestly, these letter cutters take a little bit of time to get them to work just right, but they produce great quality letters once you get the hang of it. My best advice to anyone using these is to make sure that you use corn starch to prevent sticking. Also, if you think you've rolled your fondant or sugar paste thin enough, roll it even thinner, because these cutters will not work if it's not rolled thin enough.They do produce very nice looking letters and save me time as opposed to piping letters. I've been using these for over a year and I like them, although they can be finicky.

The letters do come out beautifully and adds a professional and elegant look to the cake. That said, it took some practice before getting the hang of this. I suggest YouTube for some tutorials. Roll out your fondant thinner than you think you need. Also, it needs to be a bit stiff -- if too wet, it'll never come out of the mold. I add some tylose powder to the fondant, and let it air dry for a few mins, just to get a stiffer consistency. Once your fondant is the right consistency, the letters do just pop right out. I take a small square piece of fondant, rub in some more icing sugar with my fingertips (you want it dry, not wet), press the tappit down on it, rub against the counter top, remove the excess fondant, and then tap against the counter edge. Beware of flying tappits!
